Citizenship & Other Visas

A range of substantive and non-substantive visas which allow visa holders to enter Australia temporarily or permanently. Other visas include visas such as bridging visas or resident return visas.

Australian Citizenship

Australian Citizenship is a process in which a non-Australian citizen voluntarily becomes an Australian citizen. Australian citizens pledge their loyalty to Australia and its people and are then entitled to its protection and to exercise their rights and responsibilities as citizens.

Return (Residence) (Class BB) Subclass 155

The purpose of the Resident Return visa (RRV) is to allow certain persons who are or have been permanent residents or citizens of Australia to return to the country as permanent residents.

Bridging Visas (BVs)

Bridging visas provide lawful status in Australia to eligible non-citizens.
